Greenland is a self-governing overseas administrative division of the Kingdom of Denmark, called Grønland, in Danish, and Kalaallit Nunaat, in Inuit.  Weekend Public Holidays: Public holidays that occur on a weekend remain on that date (ie. they are not moved to another date, such as the following Monday, for example).  The Greenlandic National Day is June 21st and is called Ullortuneq, meaning "The Longest Day".
