Some non-official, but widely observed, holidays are listed here with observance restrictions, as some businesses might be closed on these days. • Lao Issara (Day of Free Laos) on August 13 seems to have been replaced by Constitution Day (August 15) sometime in 2004-2005, but neither of these dates is an official public holiday in Laos nowadays. • Liberation Day (from French) also seems to have been removed from the official list of Laos public holidays around that time.
