The 2007 dates from the
Q++ Worldwide Database of Public Holidays are now online.
12-Aug-2006
The yearly full revision of the
Q++ Worldwide Database of Public Holidays is now finished. In addition to
reviewing, ab initio, each of the 3700+ holidays rules, for the 240
countries covered by our database, this year, we have once again added new,
exclusive, features to our web site to make it easier to read and more
informative. One of our specificities is that we spend a lot of
time making sure that the only non-national holidays included in our listings,
are those which truly affect the business life of a large part of each
country. In addition, to help readers easily identify the official/national
holidays, as opposed to regional and partial holidays, these are now
shown in a lighter shade. Our exclusive country-specific comments
have now been expanded, and include information about all the regional and
non-national holidays that we did not include in the main listing. Whenever
appropriate, we also include links to relevant official web sites. As always, your
comments and
suggestions are welcome.

New version of the
Q++ World Clocks Desktop Wallpaper freeware. Features
a set of new, snazzier, graphics, thanks to Kimmo Karvinen of the Ajasto Diary
Group, as well as a dynamically updating separation of the globe into daylight,
nighttime and twilight areas (currently only available for 1600x1200 screens
resolutions).
Today, we started, with Sweden,
our yearly
revision of our database of worldwide public holidays and bank holidays. You
will be able to follow the progress on the
current year's world holidays page, where countries' names will be
highlighted as soon as they have been revised. The revised database of world
holidays rules will be sent to all
Q++ Studio users at the beginning of September,
allowing them to accurately calculate world holidays dates for the next 10-15
years and more. Then, in November, we will publish the 2007 world holidays dates
for the general public.
Launch of our
syndicated feed of world holidays. With it, you can easily add a live
feed of today's and tomorrow's holidays (as seen at the bottom of this page) to any
of your web pages. Once it's done, you never have to worry about it anymore, the
information viewed by your visitors will always be up to date, and will reflect
their computer's date, regardless of the timezone in which they are. Please
contact us if you are interested in learning more
about our syndicated feed of world holidays.
