It is needless to say that they didn't give it up. • Revival Leaders' Day or Enlightenment Leaders Day is one of the national public holidays, but only schools and universities close (banks, businesses, and the government are open). • Days of National Mourning: Bulgaria has a tradition of declaring public holidays of national mourning when major industrial or traffic accidents occur. One such day was even declared in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 2001.
