As a service to the web community, we are
publishing a listing of
worldwide bank holidays, legal holidays and public holidays (239 countries
and territories), as calculated by the
Q++ Studio Diary Publishing System and its
authoritative set of rules that include most non-Gregorian calendars (Jewish,
Muslim, Hindu, Chinese, ...) as well as advanced astronomical calculations that
allow for the prediction of lunisolar holidays (such as the ones in Myanmar,
Thailand, Sri Lanka, ...).
Below, you will find a listing of
which countries have a national holiday, bank holiday, legal holiday or major
public holiday, in November 2005.
When the name of a country is followed by an
asterisk (*), it means that the listed
national holiday, bank holiday, legal holiday or major public holiday
may be regional or non-official or
limited to certain religious and/or linguistic groups, or begin at a time other
than midnight.
