Ecuador's President, Sixto Durán Ballén, has declared that the upcoming Maundy Thursday (April 4, 1996), would be a one-off public holiday for both the public and private sectors.
In compensation, Saturday April 13, 1996, will be a regular working day for both the public and private sectors.
