Bosnia Declares 10 January Public Holidays

The government of the Bosnian Serb Republic (Republic of Srpska) has issued a statement declaring the following days to be public holidays, and days off work, in January 1998; the 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 19th and 27th.

The government's decision, passed in accordance with the Law on Holidays and Public Holidays.

In that context, and to avoid rumours of additional public holidays, the statement specifies that the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 12th and 13th January, as well as the days from the 20th up until the end of January, except for 27th January, will be working days.
