Russia Declares Orthodox Easter Regional Public Holiday

Russia's Chechen Republic authorities,Grozny city mayor, Leche Dudayev, and Chechen Interior Minister Kazbek Makhashev, have declared Orthodox Easter Sunday a public holiday.

This year's Orthodox Easter Sunday will occur on Sunday, April 27, 1997.
