Estonia's parliament has approved the Public and National Holidays Act (RT I 1998, 13, 162) which fully overhauls the current Estonian legislation governing public holidays and days off in Estonia.
The aforementioned bill thus repeals the previous law which hitherto governed public holidays and days off in Estonia, the Public and National Holidays Act (RT I 1994, 12, 199).
The act lists 10 non-working public holidays (Riigipühad ja puhkepäevad) as well as 7 national holidays (Riiklikud tähtpäevad) which are regular working days.
