The government of Turkmenistan has confirmed that the upcoming public holiday would be observed on Wednesday, January 14, 1998.
The decree declaring Oraza Bayramy (End of Ramadan).as a new official public holiday in Turkmenistan (Decree No 2432 "On Id al-Fitr holiday" post-dated 14 January 1998) was recently signed by Turkmenistan President, Saparmurat Niazov.
