Estonia's parliament has approved the Public and National Holidays Act Amendment Act (RT I 1999, 18, 299) which amends the current legislation governing public holidays, days off, and national holidays in Estonia.
The aforementioned act amends the 1998 Public and National Holidays Act (RT I 1998, 13, 162) which overhauled the Estonian legislation governing public holidays and days off in Estonia (27-Jan-1998), by adding a new annual national holiday, Mother Language Day, on March 14.
