The "Public Holidays (Amendment) Act, 2000" (An Act to amend the Public Holidays Act, Cap. 354) has been approved by the Senate of Antigua and Barbuda.

The "Public Holidays (Amendment) Act, 2000" was passed by the Antigua and Barbuda House of Representatives, earlier this month (09-Nov-2000) and would replace the Caribbean Community (Caricom) Day on the first Monday of July, by a new "Vere Cornwall Bird (Snr.) Day" public holiday on the day after the first Monday of August.
