The recently voted, "Loi n°O 1 9-2000/AN du 27 juin 2000, portant institution de fêtes légales au Burkina Faso", has been gazetted thus changing the details of official public holidays in Burkina Faso.
One of the main aspects of this "Décret n°2000-334/PRES du 2 Juillet 2000 (JON°30 2000) promulguant la loi n°O 1 9-2000/AN du 27 juin 2000, portant institution de fêtes légales au Burkina Faso" is that a day in lieu public holiday is declared on the following Monday, when some of the fixed-date public holidays fall on a Sunday.
