The government of Montenegro has decided that November 29th would be a partial public holiday.
On that date, state administration is to work and shops are to stay open, while schools and universities will remain closed for the entire week. Private sector companies are left to choose whether to observe the day as a public holiday or not.
November 29th, is the public holiday corresponding to the former Yugoslavia Republic Day. But, this year, the Montenegrin government in Podgorica has announced that it would not observe the legal provision that makes November 29th is a public holiday, due to the grave economic situation in the republic.
