Argentina's National Assembly has gazetted theLey Nº 25442 del 20 de Junio de 2001 which moves the observance of this year's October 12 annual public holiday to Monday, October 8, 2001.
Normally, since October 12 occurs on a Friday in 2001, according to the Ley Nº 23555 del 28 de Abril de 1988, the observed public holiday should have been gazetted for the following Monday (October 15).
The text of the law strives to make it clear that this is a one-off change (Modifícase por única vez la disposición del artículo 1° de la Ley 23.555).
