The Government of Costa Rica has announced that the upcoming, October 12, Día de las Culturas, public holiday would be moved to Monday, October 15, 2001.
The aforementioned change stems from the 1996 amendment to Article 148 of Costa Rica's Labour Code (17-Jul-1996 and 10-Oct-1996).
Note, however, that banks will remain closed in Costa Rica, on Friday, October 12, 2001.
