Mauritania's President has issued Decree 186-2001 which declares Monday, December 17, 2001, the day after the Eid El Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday, as a one-off public holiday in Mauritania.
The decree, later published in the "Journal numéro : 1013- du 15/12/2001 - page 580", thus extends the Eid El Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday for a second day in Mauritania, as was done semi-systematically in the past (04-Mar-2001, 05-Jan-2000 and 25-Mar-1999).
