Saint Lucia Prime Minister, Kenny Anthony, has declared tomorrow, Tuesday, January 4, 2001, as a one-off public holiday to celebrate the St Lucia Labour Party (SLP) landslide re-election victory today.
It is customary in Saint Lucia for a public holiday to follow the day immediately following a general election (23-May-1997).
