The UAE government has announced that federal government institutions will have a three-day public sector holiday, from the first to the third day of Shawwal, 1422 Hijri year.
The private sector, for its part, will only have the first 2 days of Shawwal as public holidays for the Eid Al Fitr festival.
The upcoming Muslim month of Shawwal is expected to begin on Sunday, December 16, 2001.
