The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tony Blair, confirmed yesterday that a one-off public holiday would be declared on Monday, June 3, 2002, to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Additionally, as had been announced last year (24-Nov-2000), the 2002 Spring Bank Holiday will be moved to the following day, Tuesday, June 4, 2002, to allow four days of public celebration.
