Once again, the upcoming, November 25, Statehood Day public holiday will be marked differently in different parts of Bosnia Herzegovina.
Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Hercegovina will be marking Statehood Day as an official non-working public holiday, while in Mostar, it will only be marked only in one part of the city. In the Serb-speaking part of Bosnia (the Republika Srpska) it will not be observed as a public holiday at all.
Recall that, after years of bickering (05-Nov-2000), the law on public holidays has yet to be adopted for the whole of Bosnia-Hercegovina.
