Costa Rica's head of the legal department of the Department of Labor, Érick Briones, confirmed that all public sector workers would be on public holidays for the April 11 public holiday, but that private sector workers, would for the most part have a public holiday on Friday, April 12, 2002, instead.
For its part, Costa Rica's Education Minister, Guillermo Vargas, announced yesterday that all grade school and high schools would remain open on the upcoming April 11 public holiday.
