Fiji Senator Mitieli Bulanauca has called for the removal of religious holidays based on foreign religions, such as Prophet Mohammad's Birthday and Diwali.
He also wants the Birthday of Prince Charles removed from the list of official public holidays in Fiji, in part "because of his adultery".
During the floor debate, Senator Ahmed Ali interjected that "if you remove this holiday on grounds of [adultery] then there would not be very many members left in parliament".
