(Posted on Tuesday, March 26, 2002)

Source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia (Riga)

Latvia's Cabinet of Ministers has issued a decree which recommends that all governments, private enterprises and organisations shift the working day of Monday, December 30, 2002, to Saturday, December 28, 2002.

This will enable Latvians to benefit from a 4-day public holiday, as December 31 and January 1st are already annual public holidays in Latvia.
