Turkmenistan's President, Saparmurat Niyazov, has issued a decree proclaiming a day off public holiday for Friday, December 6, 2002, on the occasion of this year's Oraza-Bayram (end of Ramadan) Muslim festival.
This is the 5th year in a row that the End of Ramadan Muslim festival is observed as a non-working public holiday in Turkmenistan (16-Dec-2001, 12-Jan-1999 and 12-Jan-1998).
