Uganda Declares February 14 Election Day Public Holiday

The government Uganda has declared Thursday, February 14, 2002, a one-off public holiday in order to facilitate the local elections being held that day.

Electoral public holidays are common in Uganda (25-Jun-2001, 09-Mar-2001, and 05-Nov-1997).
