Late yesterday, Proclamation 498 was released, making November 26, 2003, a special non-working day to coincide with the expected date of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitre (Feast of Ramadhan) public holiday.
Note that Republic Act No. 9177 had already declared Eid-ul-Fitre as a regular holiday, but the change of status to a special non-working day means that employees will get paid for this day off work.
