(Posted on Wednesday, January 7, 2004)

Source: Afghan National Assembly

The recently ratified new constitution of Afghanistan specifies, in its Article 18, two new public holidays, Independence Day and Victory Day.

Both of these public holidays will occur on dates based on the Afghan calendar that was restored as the official calendar of Afghanistan, in 2002 (07-Feb-2002).
