The government of Guyana has announced that the Youman Nabi, birth anniversary of the Prophet, public holiday, would be commemorated on Sunday, May 2, 2004.
As usual (09-May-2003), the aforementioned announcement comes shortly after the announcement by Guyana's Central Islamic Organisation (CIOG) that the Muslim month of Rabiul-Awal had begun.
