The Philippines House of Representatives has finally passed House Bill No. 6240 which makes August 21 of every year a special non-working public holiday, to be named Ninoy Aquino Day.
This follows last year's passing of a similar bill in the Senate (19-Nov-2003). Both bills now need to be consolidated by a bi-cameral assembly.
