The UAE Ministry of State for Cabinet Affairs announced that Ministries and other federal institutions and public organisations would be closed for work for the Eid El Fitr public holidays, beginning from Saturday, November 13th, 2004, until Wednesday November 17th, 2004.
As weekends are Thursdays and Fridays in the UAE (as of 2004) this means that the civil service will be on holidays for 9 consecutive days, from November 11-19, 2004, inclusively.
