A presidential decree has confirmed that the upcoming, December 10, Primer Grito de la Independencia, public holiday, had been moved to Friday, August 12, 2005.
The decreed move, although based on the public sector law, Ley Orgánica de Servicio Civil y Carrera Administrativa y de Unificación y Homologación de las Remuneraciones del Sector Público, will apply to both the private and public sectors.
