The government's official report on last Wednesday's Council of Ministers meeting states tersely that the Council of Ministers voted Wednesday to make January 2 a paid annual public holiday for territorial government employees throughout French Polynesia.
The Temaru Government thus has made official what for years has been an unofficial practice of many employees in French Polynesia.
