The Head of the Majlis (Iranian Parliament) Economic Commission, Davoud Danesh-Jafari, has asked members of Majlis Research Center to probe the harmful effects of the high number of public holidays on the economy.
This seems to follow the publication of the list of official public holidays in Iran for the Persian year 1388, last month (01-Mar-2005).
