Kenya's Attorney-General, Amos Wako, has announced that Monday, November 21, 2005, had been declared a one-off public holiday to coincide with the upcoming constitutional referendum.
A few weeks ago (06-Sep-2005), the Chairman of Kenya's Electoral Commission, Samuel Kivuitu, had asked the government to declare Monday, November 21, 2005, a public holiday on the occasion of that day's referendum.
