Mauritania's President has issued Decree 131-2005 which declares Friday, November 4, 2005, the day after the Eid El Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday, as a one-off public holiday in Mauritania.
The decree, later published in the "Journal Officiel du 15 décembre 2005, p.549", thus extends the Eid El Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday for a second day in Mauritania, as was done semi-systematically in the past (13-Dec-2001, 04-Mar-2001, and 05-Jan-2000).
