Morocco Amends Public Holidays Law

(Posted on Tuesday, January 11, 2005)

Source: Décrets du 16 kaada 1425

Morocco has released a new public holidays law (Décret n° 2-4-426 du 16 kaada 1425 (29 décembre 2004) fixant la liste des jours de fêtes payés dans les entreprises industrielles et commerciales, les professions libérales et les exploitations agricoles et forestières) which abrogates the previous public holidays law (Décret n° 2-62-101 du 23 ramadan 1381 (28 février 1962)).

Despite the recurring talk about cancelling the public holidays of August 14, August 20, and November 6, this new decree leaves their observance unchanged.
