The Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) of the Philippines has announced that Monday, November 28, 2005, would be a non-working public holiday, by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 839.
Labor Secretary Patricia A. Sto. Tomas added that, as per President Arroyo's Proclamation, Wednesday, November 30, 2005, the traditional date of Bonifacio Day, would be a regular working holiday.
Last year (11-Nov-2004), President Arroyo had issued a similar proclamation, Proclamation No. 727, declaring Tuesday, November 30, 2004, to be a regular working day, while Monday, November 29, 2004, was to be a one-off non-working holiday throughout the country.
