Federation Council Chairman, Sergei Mironov, has announced that he was part of a group in the Russian Legislature's Upper House that was preparing an amendment to the Russian Labor Code that would restore May 2nd as an annual non-working public holiday in Russia.
The aforementioned legislative push comes in response to the recent (28-Dec-2005) revamping of non-working public holidays in Russia (23-Nov-2004) which was later approved by the Russian Duma (24-Dec-2004) and signed into law by President Putin.
