The Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago announced that Trinidad and Tobago had been selected to host the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in 2009.
These meetings usually running from Friday to Sunday, in late November, usually have had their first day declared as a public holiday by hosting countries. Therefore we would expect Trinidad and Tobago to declare a one-off CHOGM public holiday on either Friday November 20 or 27, 2009.
