UAE Announces Eid Al Adha Public Sector Holidays

The UAE's Ministry of State for Cabinet Affairs has announced five days of public sector holidays on the occasion of the upcoming Eid Al Adha holidays.

As such, all of the UAE's ministries and public institutions will be closed for five days, from Monday, January 9, 2006 (Zul Hijja 9, 1427 Hijri), with the next working day being on January 14, 2006 (Zul Hijja 14, 1427 Hijri).

Yesterday (27-Dec-2005), the UAE's Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has issued a circular declaring Sunday, January 1st, 2006, as an official public holiday for the private sector.
