The UAE's Ministry of State for Cabinet Affairs, and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs have announced the dates of the upcoming Eid Al Adha public holidays, for both the public sector and the private sector, respectively.
As per the Ministry of State for Cabinet Affairs circular, the public sector will be closed for Eid Al Adha holidays from January 19 to 23, 2005, while the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs' circular specifies that the private sector will enjoy a three-day holiday from January 19 to 21, 2005.
Such differentiated public holidays between the public and private sectors, has, in the past, been a common feature of official public holidays in the UAE (27-Jan-2004 and 25-Jan-2004).
