Uzbekistan Declares December 9 Bridge Public Holiday

Uzbekistan's President, Islom Karimov, has issued a decree declaring Friday, December 9, 2005, as an additional, one-off, non-working public holiday in addition to the annual December 8 Constitution Day public holiday which falls on a Thursday, this year.

In compensation, Sunday, December 11, 2005, will be a regular working day in Uzbekistan.
