Argentina Considering Public Holiday For Municipal Employees

(Posted on Tuesday, November 7, 2006)

Source: Analisis

A projected ordinance would make November 8th, a yearly public holiday for municipal workers.

Although this is currently only planned for the Paraná region, it comes on the heels of the Day of the Bank Workers (Nov. 6, 2006) which caused a lot of problems nation-wide for bank clients and ATM users.

That holiday was also originally only supposed to be limited geographically, but was extended to a nationwide observance in the days leading to it.
