Western Australians will turn their clocks forward an hour on Sunday December 3. In a surprise last-minute vote, a proposed three-year trial of daylight saving time, passed through the Upper House of Parliament with a massive majority.
The trial of daylight saving will span three summers and be followed by a referendum. Note that these changes will not be made automatically to your computer, as the official timezone databases available to the vast majority of computer systems show the last valid DST transition for Australia/Perth and Australia/West to be on Sunday March 1st, 1992.
