On October 10, The President of Azerbaijan has signed the "Law on Amendments to the Labor Code of Azerbaijan" which, in particular, amends Article 114 of the Labour Code, by specifying what happens when a vacation period includes a public holiday.
This follows last year's "law on amendments to the Labour Code" which legislated that an additional non-working Monday public holiday would henceforth be declared, whenever a public holiday falls on a weekend day (30-Dec-2005).
