Azerbaijan 2007 Public Holidays Announced

On December 19, Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers issued Decree 264 fixing the dates and extent of movable religious public holidays for the year 2007.

The Persian New Year, Novruz Bayram, will be from March 20-24, with an additional non-working day on March 26, 2007.

The End of Ramadan, Ramazan Bayram, will be on October 12, 13, 2007, with an additional non-working day on October 15. while the Feast of Sacrifice, Gurban Bayram, will be observed on December 20 and 21, 2007.

Finally, the decree confirms last week's announcement (20-Dec-2006) of the additional declaration of January 3-4-5, 2007, as non-working days, meaning that Azerbaijan will enjoy public holidays from December 31, 2006, to January 7, 2007, inclusively.
