(Posted on Tuesday, December 19, 2006)

Chinese workers will have three consecutive days off in the upcoming 2007 New Year break from January 1 to 3, but will have to work on Saturday, December 30 and Sunday, December 31.

The Chinese Lunar New Year vacation will stretch from February 18 to February 24, and employees will have to be on the job on February 17 and 25 as a swap for the holidays.

For Labor Day on May 1 and National Day on October 1, local residents will have seven days off starting on the first day of May and October, but they must work the preceding weekends of April 28-29 and September 29-30.
