Dominican Republic 2007 Public Holidays Announced

(Posted on Wednesday, December 6, 2006)

Source: Diario Libre (Santo Domingo)

The Dominican Republic's Secretary of State for Labor has confirmed the list of official 2007 public holidays dates.

Note that one of the online articles referred to, here, contains a typo; Día de Duarte is moved to Monday January 29, as published above, and not to the 19th (which is not a Monday).

The decree lists, in particular, which fixed-date holidays would be moved to a neighboring Monday, according to the law 139-97 of June 19, 1997 (19-Jun-1997).
