Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly has approved the list of official public holidays in Iran for the Persian year 1388, running from March 2006, to March 2007.
The list of official public holidays is relatively unchanged since Persian year 1384 (01-Mar-2005), with a few public holidays based on the Islamic Calendar moved to the following day.
Most notably, the current list still includes four of the five annual public holidays meant to have been cancelled last year by Iran's Majles Social Committee (18-Aug-2005 and 13-Apr-2005).
The one exception seems to be the Jashn e Sadeh Zoroastrians holiday which is traditionally celebrated on the 10th day of the month of Bahman of the Persian calendar and had been declared as a last-minute public holiday in the past (26-Jan-2005), but is not included in the aforementioned list of official public holidays in Iran for the Persian year 1388, running from March 2006, to March 2007.
